Newstead Rotunda Proposal

We love creating proposals at new locations and we know Newstead Rotunda well through the wedding side of our business as we've decorated this gorgeous site many times.

So when a 'fiance to be' from out of town contacted us asking for ideas and assistance with planning an amazing proposal for his lucky lady and he knew he wanted to include a Gondola ride within the day, we knew with the surrounding water views and proximity to the gondola terminal, this would be the perfect spot to pop the question.

We dressed the entrance of the rotunda with satin and chiffon draping in a palette of taupe and peach, with our elegant chandelier hanging in the backdrop.

As he booked our hidden paparazzi style photographer to discreetly capture the monent, we knew this would make the perfect setting to frame the proposal taking place.

We love boxed flowers, because not only are they presented beautifully, and feel like a gift and a bouquet in one, but they are also practical as a vase isn't required and you aren't left carrying around soggy stems.

We carefully selected these boxed flowers to compliment the peachy tones of our proposal setting.

He even arranged for us to have her favourite white wine at the ready (as she isn't a champange drinker). Chilled on ice with our popular stemless wine galsses on marble coasters.

Beautifully fragrant fresh rose petals were scattered at the entrance and around the table setting to add to the romance of the this Newstead Rotunda proposal, and music was playing as they arrived to further add to the romance of the setting.

Our unobtrusive ghost chairs added to the luxurious vibe and completed the table setting perfectly.

The newly engaged couple celebrated over a chilled glass of her favourite wine while she admired her new engagement ring.

Following the proposal our proposal photographer Leanne from Brischetto introdcued herself and captured close ups of the ring, before taking them around thre park for photos, before they made their way to the Gondola terminal for their sunset gondola ride down the Brisbane river. What a perfect way to finish such a magaical proposal.
